VIDEO BLOG: Conversations with Kara Episode 1

Today, I sat down to talk with my friend Andrea, a recently retired teacher who taught for 31 years. She is currently a doctoral candidate who is passionate about play-based learning and emergent writing.

Throughout Andrea's long career, she taught many diagnosed - and likely undiagnosed - neurodivergent children. In this episode, Andrea reflects on how she structured her play-based primary classroom so that all students could learn, grow, and feel successful. Together, we discuss ways to enhance classroom design, differentiation, and inclusion for everyone.

Note: Andrea says "neuro-atypical" which sounds like "neurotypical" - she means neurodivergent learners (including those who are autistic, have ADHD, giftedness, or utilize non-neurotypical ways of thinking, being, and knowing the world.)
